Hi Rose, Lurqer.

Wow, we had a fairly good quake, somewhere between 6.5 and 7.0. I just came home to check on my place, no major damage, just books off the shelves, paintings askew and all the cabinets open and things rearranged.

I guess there are some older buildings where the brick facades have just collapsed, but I don't believe there are major injuries.

I was sitting in a parking lot when it hit, I watched the steel workers on a new building scramble their way off...they looked quite scared, and it looks like they all went home for the day. There were a lot of upset folks afterward. The cars in the lot were bouncing around like those little springy headed toys you see in the back of '56 Chevy's.

I really like experiencing the quakes, but one every once in a long while is enough.
