Since you seem to be on the side of targeted tax cuts, doesn't it make sense that a family of 4 could use a tax break more than a single person. Single people with nobody to look out for but themselves (no dependents) are in the best shape to fend for themselves. Our system allows them to join the higher tax brackets if they so desire (in case you did not know that).
