There are some who would say, "Nice job, if you can get it." I wouldn't say that (at least not out loud), but some people would. You've probably already volunteered as have I. Volunteer? I'd pay money. There would be enough gossip in those meetings for a whole shelf full of novels (or appearances on Oprah for the less sophisticated committee members). I wonder if back-stabbing one's competitors would disqualify a candidate. Probably so because back-stabbing is immoral (although probably not as immoral as kissing). I'll bet that by the time it was over, all the candidates would have disqualified themselves. Karen
