robert, i noticed that also, but the cc after the earnings they said essentially the same thing, that the announced swift contract was the "contractural minimum" but they expected to get much more rev from swift as well as the third party connections and biz with the individual co's involved

Come on Robert... sheesh... you're such a cheerleader... do your pom-poms get in the way when you type? ;-)

Why don't you ever post negative stuff like ... like... I don't know... just negative stuff.

I'm confused. The table in that article indicates Revenues increasing to $9+ bil but EPS becomes more negative in 2002. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. Is this because they are paying off some of the previous years debt and that in 2002 there is just a $.31 EPS loss for for that year, 2002, not that they are losing $3.34 EPS for that year. If true then GX is getting to having a positive cash flow for 2003.

BTW Joseph P Gaughenbaugh publised this yesterday.

Best regards
Bob

I did read the interview and had mixed thoughts about it. Viz:

>Just 18 months ago, we got 100% of our revenue by selling capacity products in the Atlantic. In our budget for 2001, we are relying on the Atlantic for less than 2% of our revenues. That's because we know there is new competition coming, and we constructed our budget so that we can make our numbers even if we sell almost nothing in the Atlantic. So from that point of view, we don't think it has a big impact on our business.<

He should have explained how GX was going to meet the budget. Atlantic used to be 100%, the budget calls for only 2%. This year 98% will be from elsewhere. WHERE? Without clarifying where and leaving the question in readers mind wondering where, is not good public relations. Some may say, too aggressive a budget.
