I don't remember where I read about debt issuance. I don't know when. They are buying some bradlee's stores which they claim to fund internally

KSS is also planning the following

"In the fall, Kohl's will open 21-26 additional stores, primarily filling in stores in existing markets. In total, the company plans to open 55-60 new stores in 2001. "

Check their balance sheet. They won't fund all of this internally. KSS will be an even better short if it leverages itself. I think the best time to short KSS will be before window dressing dates for mutual funds.
