5.6%. I believe the 7% figure bandied about by Abby Cohen, Maria, and CNBC is only the tech sector funds.

Another chart shows heavy specialist shorting but that is probably two weeks delayed as is mutual fund cash levels to some number of weeks.

Aggressive growth funds had net inflows of $7.65 billion in January vs. $2.5 billion in December, while (plain old) growth funds had cash inflows of $8.3 billion last month vs. $6.2 billion in December, according to the Investment Company Institute. Overall, assets of stock funds increased by $129.7 billion in January while money market funds took in nearly $110 billion, ICI reported .
