CIEN A good candidate for more giving. Recall early in Feb we talked about it breakding down out of a large wedge -- going back to 1998. This one is just getting underway really.

Guess that's sitting uncomfortably in someone's money market fund as I type this.... Separately, the company announced that on February 16, 2001, it sold approximately $500 million in finance receivables to a third party at book value with no recourse. Following the sale, the company held about $300 million in finance receivables before reserves for loans to its customers. Cash from the sale will be used for general corporate purposes. As of February 16, Gateway had a balance of about $1.0 billion in cash and marketable securities. I would LOVE to know who they pawned that $hite off to! Do you know where your money market is tonight?<G>
