It has taken AMSC 12 years so far to try and commercialize high temperature SC, they have finally recognized that it will take another 10 years before they get anywhere and have made a strategic decision to rely more on traditional low temperature SC (their SMES program) for cash flow, I there fore see no immediate "danger" of shortage of silver due to that application taking off. Furthermore, I believe that by the time they are ready a much better and lower cost technology will prevail.

Silver is not a practical superconductor.
It's superconducting transition temperature
is well below that of aluminum at 1 K. Silver
is of course an excellent normal conductor.

There is a new discovery (will be announced formally tomorrow)
of magnesium dibromide with a superconducting
temperature of 39 K. This "low temperature" superconducting
material may eventually take the place of niobium compounds
which require 4 K (liquid helium) cooling in MRI type
applications. A great scientific discovery (the simple ones are) but not a financial play yet.
