koll Regarding CPE and the short position. I find these positions when there is a convert outstanding. They go long the covert and short the common. CID has one as well as BOG. Probably not a bad way to play since you lock up your gain in advance. CPE has a lot of drilling prospects but last year they weren't all that successful via the bit so stock price has suffered. Present book value is even higher than stated on Yahoo. Production was off last quarter due to an 11.5 mmcfpd well being shut in for the entire quarter. That well went back on stream Jan.11. All in all it's pretty cheap in here.
