For general information if you have not read your IBD yet today it shows
QCOM short interest as of 2/15 at 9,864,369 +2% from 1/15 at 9,660,376
with av. daily vol. as 14,463,750. Are shorters afraid of this stock or have they just
been to busy with others or already covered their positions. Any shorters out there?

Thanks for the advice, Rick. I know you offer it with complete sincerity. You're in the process of establishing a more flexible orientation to your own investing style, and I appreciate that it's easy to view ltb&h as unnecessarily rigid. But when I review the lessons of history and the assumptions that led to my adopting ltb&h, as I do frequently, I have yet to find the flaw in identifying, buying, and holding great companies, provided you continue to monitor and confirm the soundness of their competitive advantages and the viability of their end markets. It's an awkward strategy to defend in times like these, but I don't expect the extreme contractions will last indefinitely. And until the wheel turns, as it *always* does, I find the prospects of steady income from covered calls comforting.
