That sounds wonderful ANd so brave!!!
My father used to serve- Manhattans? for dinner parties- He had a little silver shaker and a tray that he had stolen from a hotel after the war when he was very very drunk one night and pulled all the keys off the piano, every time he hit a wrong note, and they asked him to leave. He said,
Fine, your piano was out of tune anyway.
And as he left he took the waiter's tray and put it under his shirt and walked out. My brother inherited it and he always serves drinks on it when we visit.

I make a cake like that at Christmas- and I decorate it with-

Cornflakes covered in green tinted melted marshmallow shaped into little wreaths with red cinnamon candies for the berries.
it's beautiful. Even Sherry would love it, if we didn;t tell her that it had marshmallows in it.
I guess that won't work for March---

And oh the layered slips!! I remember these from Cotillion! I loved mine. I used to run around the house in just my multilayered net slips.
You will eat your heart out. I owned one that had several different pastel shades- each layer different. Oh, I LOVED that slip.

I remember Manhattans being poured at cocktail hour whenever the entire family got together, except for my grandfather (who always drank scotch, preferably Chivas and on the rocks).

You will need a harvest gold fondue pot, or was it a harvest gold range and an bright orange fondue pot? I recall "avocado" green and "harvest" gold, but can't remember any special name for the orange.
