Winston said that?
And here I was, all inspired, standing on my chair, waving my statement from Waterhouse, singing We Shall Overcome...
and I'm in the wrong war.

Well, I just found out I had skipped a day- I thought we left tomorrow for the speech tournament- but we leave early Fri. so I have to live through another day of this torment..
thus I am off to bed to read on and off all night (suffering from insomnia lately) about strong women who follow their own quests.
KInda like- yeah- me and the market.

My dad tells me he heard a speech like that once, on a beach in north Africa as the Army shipped out to invade Sicily. He suspects the general, Lucian Truscott, might have cribbed it from Caesar. Very stirring. It would be fun to find a copy of it, if one exists.
