Online advertising campaigns coincide with notable traffic increases for several Top 50 properties

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2001 — Jupiter Media Metrix (NASDAQ: JMXI), the global leader in market intelligence, today released the Media Metrix U.S. Top 50 Web and Digital Media property ratings for January 2001. AOL, Microsoft and Yahoo continue to top the rankings, but with Microsoft surpassing Yahoo for the first time since July 2000. Other highlights include Napster Digital* ** (Web plus application usage), which is the number 16 property in January with 14.4 million unique visitors.

Notable Media Metrix Top 50 gainers which increased their online advertising from December 2000 to January 2001, according to AdRelevance, the most advanced online ad tracking service available, include The Uproar Network* (26 percent increase in online ad-impressions), Earthlink* (209 percent increase), Bonzi.com (60 percent increase ), and Jobsonline.com (190 percent increase).
