KLP: Once again, you're missing the main thrust of my message. It's not the big breaks the rich will receive; it's the breaks that the working middle class will NOT receive under D-Dubya-I's plan.

Big tax cuts for the richest of the rich, combined with watered-down campaign-finance reform legislation, will ensure that the coffers of the Republican Party ring like a Salvaton Army kettle on Times Square on Dec. 24. That lies behind the Repub tax plan; only a naive person would think otherwise.

In the meantime, as the richest of the rich pay less, who winds up picking up the slack when the economy reads "out of gas" two years from now?

The common working man and common working woman, of course.

Instead of a muffler, all we'll get is some muffler tape, at that point.
