I perceive the following list as a continuum of acceptability ranging from those who find non-procreative sex sinful and or immoral, to those who accept abortion at all stages as a woman's rightful choice. Would you agree with the order of the continuum? Are there items you would add, separate, or change the order?

Sex w/o procreative intent/ Masturbation
"natural" birth control (rythym)
pill, condoms, diaphragm, implants, vasectomy, tubal ligation
IUD
Morning after pills
(OTC Morning After?)
RU486
first trimester abortion
later term abortion

People seem to have cut off lines of acceptable, and unacceptable levels of birth control, or abortion.
Example: PBA is never acceptable.
Just before drawing the line, there are often grey areas wherein and individual grapples with conditional acceptability.
Example: Early 2d trimester abortion is perhaps justifiable if due to birth defects discovered at that time.

So probably this should be a chart, wherein qualifying conditions would run across the top of the page, but for now I'm trying to see how where people draw lines, and later will try to understand their rationale for doing so.

12 step programs require that you admit you are powerless over the thing that has a grip on you, then you are encouraged to turn this over to a higher power, like God. But in the relativist universe of testosterone poisoning rehabilitation there is no God.

I knew an atheist drunk whose higher power was his cat, Harry. I knew another atheist drunk who said the radiator was his higher power. I dunno, I think I need a little more Mystery than that.

OK, I admit I am powerless over testosterone poisoning. To what Higher Power do you suggest I turn this over to?
