Tom: Thanks for the reference. It sure speaks volumes as to why Big Al has been a bit "slow" to cut rates over here ("slow" at least as seen by the market's agonizing bulls). Perhaps some of them are starting to, as Fleck would say, "connect the dots" with respect to the requirement that a large interest rate differential be maintained. Greenspan has very little room to wiggle unless Europe cooperates. Knowing this helps one understand his machinations. Best, Earlie
