Harry, Deficits are caused by spending more than you earn. If you can't cut spending, you damn well better not cut taxes. Republicans play this stupid game where they cut taxes, and blame the deficit on the Democrats. It is totally irresponsible and reprehensible behavior. Bush should cut spending, and then talk about cutting taxes, using realistic numbers. You know as well as me that he is about to send us back into the red. The version GW is putting out has more resonance and will carry the day. Political expediency and doing the right thing are frequently unrelated. Scumbria
