Carl,

DDR is dead. It has all kinds of electrical problems. (Something about termination.) Intel says that it doesn't work on paper. All of the DDR technology is stolen from Rambus. The launch is a failure and no OEMs besides Micron will ever use it. The military has selected P4/Rambus for a $20 billion contract. It is very slow compared to RDRAM, and you can't put that many pins on the motherboard. All engineers who use DDR are paid bashers and communists.

Get over it.

Hi all; Pricewatch now shows 15 pages of DDR DIMMs. By comparison, there are 23 pages of the more expensive RDRAM RIMMs. As of Feb 6, (see #reply-15306902 ) the figures were 9 pages of DDR and 19 pages of RDRAM.

Any guess as to when DDR becomes more available than RDRAM on PriceWatch?
