Magnificent post E. Of course you've rolled out a cannon to shoot a gnat- but it was an especially annoying gnat. I just don't want to see you gone. There aren't that many people that make SI special to me. I would hate to see you booted because of a gnat- even a lying insinuating gnat.

E, I caught this just going out the door. Of course, the satire was obvious to all. It obviously hurt his feelings, and in that sense, satire can be most instructive in helping people to empathize with others whom they have affected by their own behaviour. Well, we have all been reckless. I only hope that I am never so reckless as to be unwilling to apologise when I have wronged you. I would rather have sore knees than to have most of my limbs amputated. :)
