What part of "they only meet once every two years" don't you understand? And what is wrong with thrift in government is this is a state government. They don't print money or sell bonds, or at least they are very limited in the types and amount of bonds that can be sold. Deficits means cutting back on things like roads and prison guards, Texas doesn't offer a whole lot more as far as services. We went through this during the Bust, dodging potholes on the interstate is not something you want to do. I dunno where Wisconsin ranks as far as state services, but Texas is on the bottom.
