Doubtful...the pre/post market trading system would likely get too easily get manipulated, lock up, or something....small investors would cry foul, IMO...

Could you imagine that houses going on buying huge blocks at 8 AM?

After all, the Fed does TRY to be fair to all investors! <G>

About 1:30 p.m. is about as late as they can cut intermeeting without screwing up the bond market, as I understand it. What time of day was the surprise cut in '98?
