intel was doing it for years.....
re:2 or 3 years ago is the flash business which is running out of steam
1st of all 2 years ago amd was behind Intel in cpu performance. Now Intel is trying to catch up.
2nd if the flash is out of the steam then cpu business is dead
re:And I keep on hearing people said it is gaining market share but the total unit shipment number does not support that
compaq announced amd based professional system. AMD did not have any of that type since the time of 386

I finally got through to my friends on the fourth floor at DuPont. Apparently they got hit very hard, and were quite certain that they were going die.

Fortunately, everyone survived, and are back at work today.
