You just don't get it, do you? This is why you have been bullish for the whole ride down, because you really have no fundamental clue of what is going to happen to this economy.

50 extra basis points of increase in fed funds did not cause this.

It was massive credit expansion from 1995-2000. Do a little research on Money Supply in the US from 1925-1929, Japan from 1985-1990, and the USA from 1995-2000, and you'll see that the bubble would have popped in this same fashion no matter what.

I also suggest you do a little research on how the United States current account deficit "crowds" out countries like Turkey and creates the types of financial crises we have been seeing and will be seeing in the other emerging markets.

When that happens, watch out.
