Agree

The Fed is doing the right thing.

The rate curve is signaling that short term rates WILL go to about 4%. No need to rush it and cause a panic.

The way I read everything makes me think my arrogance and hubris is getting the better of me as it just doesn't sound that bad and we are just in an underdamped economy as the internet increased the the spring constant and we have yet to add better shocks so our teeth chatter when we correct inventory levels. I have a 'vette so I guess I am used to it. 8)

My "cultural bias" has some lint in it.

"Speculators" - those that were not sleeping like a baby the last few days. It means you have more in the market or in the volatile sectors than is healthy for your sanity. I've been sleeping in just a bit so I might have brain damage! 8)

Jerome,
1. "cultural bias". Please explain this term re: fed

2. It doesnt have to be stated for fed to realize that nasdaq is/was/should/shouldnt be the driver. Cant make policy without concerning themselves with the effects on the market regardless of what fed charter says. Mike

PS My desperate call for a rally was heeded. 1 time out of 100 isnt a bad average.
