Yup. Hey, if folks just used stops we'd get about 50% of the silly posts we have to read on SI. I know I can't be right all the time so I don't care if a stop gets hit because I was wrong. If I was wrong, then I'll ask myself again which way I think things are going and maybe I'll try again. After being wrong twice, I'll probably look real hard at changing my opinion of what's happening. In any case, by then I'll sit for a while on the sidelines and think about it.

On the way up, use a protective stop. If it gets hit horray! -- I just took some money out of the market. So what if it goes on to make more news highs and I am not on board. It's just not important.

All this talk about where we are headed and when we'll get there is helpful for a bias, but it has no business getting in the way of trading.
