Harry, It also led to monumental waste and corruption . The Republicans have controlled Congress since the year after the 1993 Deficit Reduction Act went into effect. If you really believe that the intervening years have had monumental waste and corruption, you better take responsibility for who is to blame. The party of fiscal irresponsibility has done a lot of damage. It is noted, however, the greatest growth in the national debt occurred under Reagan (Rep.) (23.6% per year) followed by Ford (Rep.)
