Today, I started for the first time to build a position in Yhoo. Please read this article then tell me what you think is my down-side risk.
I'll look forward to your comments.

James,

I know you did not ask me but I feel compelled to chime in. During the last two weeks I started a psotion in Yahoo and I plan on adding to it. My experience has been that Yahoo has been an invaluable resource for my size firm where we have various geograpic locations. We are not paying for the addition email space. The reason is mose ISPs will not let you mail out using their email server if you are connected via another ISP and that ISPs POP. The "excuse" is that it is too easy to spam. The other issue is that one my configure "my yahoo" to be very simlilar to a Windows operating system. It may be accessed from anywhere in the world and is quite robust as long as one has a broadband connection to the net. We are also paying for an extra 50 MB of storage in the myfiles category. I have no clue how close we are to the norm as businesses go. I believe we are more technically agressive than the avaerage for our size. This would indicate that other firms will be willing to pay for this service too when they have more technical needs.

The competition such as the portal for AOL and for Microsft is not nearly was well writeen nor is the performance is as good. Part of that is due to Yahoo's extensive use of the Akamai network.

Have you ever really configured a my yahoo page??
