Japan throwing in the towel?

Nikkei down further,Oracle Japan leads tech losses
TOKYO, Mar 2 (Reuters) - Tokyo stocks were down more than two percent on Friday afternoon, led by losses in Oracle Corp Japan after a profit warning sent shares in its parent tumbling in after hours trade and raised fears of more U.S. high-tech falls.

``Today's tech dump is a knee-jerk reaction to Oracle's slide overnight. Traders are basically taking the stance that the Nasdaq is headed for another slide,'' said Tsuyoshi Segawa, general manager of equity derivatives at Sakura Securities.

The benchmark Nikkei average slumped 2.15 percent or 273.08 points to 12,408.58 by 0447 GMT, bouncing back slightly from a fresh 15-year nadir of 12,363.21 hit earlier.
