Intel Showed Pentium 4 Northwood [6:40 am] Rat
At IDF Intel showed the next version of its Pentium 4 processor aka Northwood.
Here are some specs for your reference:

0.13 micron manufacturing technology;
mPGA478 form-factor with the integrated heat spreader;
512KB L2 cache, twice the size of Pentium 4 (Willamette) L2 cache;
2GHz minimum clock frequency;
1.3V Vcore;
Sampling started in January;
Mass production scheduled for Q4 2001.
