If these brokerage firms were correct Cisco, Sunw, Qcom etc would be all trading north of $100, what happened?

If 3Com ceases to grow so will all the aforementioned companies. Yes I am not giving you any hyperbole!!!!! Actually 3Com is better position than all the aforesaid companies when you compare them commensurate with their size. If telecom spending comes to a halt were do you expect Cisco's and Qcom's growth to emerge. The prevailing problems in the tech sector are not 3Com specific. 3Com's downside is far less precarious than Cisco's. While 3Com trades at a fraction of its cash value and half its' book value Cisco is still trading at least at a multiple of 6 times its' book value and 34 times its' cash value. Now that is a contrast.

Let's assume this brokerage firm was correct. This would still leave the company with $1.4 billion. Did this firm assume that everything else at 3Com would come a halt during this period. Did he attribute any capital gains in their investments in companies that are currently in their incubation stages. What did he make of Atrica and its' patented Optical Ethernet technology? My point is that you can spin and conclude what ever you may depending on the econometric model and parameters you use but prescience is not the abode that these AnalCysts fare well at and their track record unequivocally manifests their follies.
