Hello Paul, speaking from the experience, it is more likely you will pull us down, if the feds don't get their act together! Remember we are your poor cousins! As for Japanese, regardless of what happens in the US or Europe, I think they lost the "attimo figente" when they refused to reduce rates when they had to, they may never again recover in forseeable future.
