It's like bad news chinese water torture in techland ie: ORCL

...every other day some "name" comes out with bad news - this is amazing.

CNBC's David Faber had a great idea - pick one day & have everyone in tech all come out & lower guidance & come clean on the misses all together & just get it over with.

This day, after day; one company after another just grinds on the market. At least analysts blew out the entire software sector off of ORCL's news.

Hard to step in & call a bottom when "names" continue to get 20-30% immediate haircuts & other companies in the same sector get blown out as well - no questions asked...

Points made by others here that should momenteum build for that final capitualation blow off in the NAZ; the the OSX does go down with it.

I'm just sitting back & waiting for what is needed - a final washout capitulation in tech - maybe that 250-300 point single day washout; untill then - trying to stay at least 40% cash & only holding laggards in the patch - RIG & SLB, NR & PGO - not much else...

Patience, patience, patience - I catch myself trying to force trades on occassion - probably did that on FGH to an extent yesterday; looking for the "tape feel" for a little DCB trade; but discretion may call for just walking away on this one & waiting to see what FGH comes up with to pull their heads above water here... if they can.

I'm waiting for ESV MRL PDE CAM & more SLB and RIG on a 115ish pullback; that another leg down in the NAZ, or negative economic news may bring.

Sometimes - not trading ANYTHING, just sitting, waiting, watching & studying the tape for a couple of weeks is the only smart thing to do - this is starting to feel like one of those periods imo.

I think I'm going to set my stops & limits and call it an early day - trying to buy 2 golds this am and then I'm outta here for a long weekend.

good luck & be carefull out there...
