I guess your president believes in "guilt by association". He probably is a diehard conservative. In a democracy he has a right to his opinions and can do as he pleases. If Oracle had the better software than it's his loss.

ORCL downgrades pile on (ORCL) By Emily Church
Wall Street analysts are piling on Oracle (ORCL) after the company warned Thursday it will miss its profits
and sales expections on a database sales slowdown. At least four analysts lowered their
recommendation on the stock Friday. Merrill Lynch cut to a long-term accumulate from a buy, telling clients
"uncertainity surrounding Oracle's model does not give us confidence that the company can continue to
grow earnings at a rate that would drive 20 percent or better stock price appreciation into 2002." JP Morgan
H&Q notes that Oracle cited last-minute spending deferrals, a development that analyst James Pickrel
views "as a major negative indicator for all areas of software-related technology spending." He expects
ORCL's price to stay suppressed "at least through mid-June."

That's ridiculous.
Sounds like a partisan response. I'm no Clinton fan, but I'm not going to base business decisions on my potential vendor's political leanings.
That's suicide from a business standpoint.

I'm willing to bet this is a tribe story.
