The FMV calculation was interesting - especially in terms of giving us a gut feel for where we can still go. However, they change the contents of the index so frequently that I really wonder what it means to look at it over long time spans. What would the index be at today if you were able to recalculate it using the same set of companies that were in it during 1990 (just as an example)? It may be quite a bit lower than it appears (or higher). Anybody able to do this kind of statistic?
