I also noticed this high tick...today peak was 900, but now dropped to 380 which translates as a bullish condition.
As far as I know, high readings above 800 for a few days predict the top...

Les: This is the 3rd time we have made these intraday V recoveries. Is it due to massive short covering. ?.

What is your interpretation of this .? Normally in a market like now, should be not first see a divergence between the A/D slope and COMPQ followed by a classic double bottom with the outer leg even deeper.

What is the pattern/signal combo that you consider best for a bottom.?
