OK- Attractively priced PC2100 DDR is trickling out. 266MHz FSB Tbirds sighted. And now AMD760MP boards in production with 30 days to market. What it looks like to me is an upcoming DDR blitz.

The Tyan boards may be expensive but there are no Dual P4 systems (correct me if I'm wrong but even if there were the Rambus penalty would make them super premium) so people will pay. I know with everything I've experienced so far DDR performance makes economic sense.

<AMD760MP finally in production status?
zdnet.de

According to an AMD employee the AMD760MP has now reached production status. Tyan will introduce its motherboards in late March or early April. Apparently they were involved in the development of the chipset.>

That's what I heard from a Tyan marketing guy a few days back. Right now DP Athlon is slated for April and DP Foster for May. (though I have my doubts about DP Foster - especially the Intel version)

The major advantage AMD has is that the solution is good performance at a good price point - where as Intel's DP Foster cost structure is a major disadvantage. Let's see what AMD Marketing/sales can do with it.
