IDT could mean many thing to many people- depending upon what you think of as "intelligence". After all systems have self organizing principles- like crystals. They "grow" in patterns- are they intelligent? Rust perpetuates itself- Cosmic has posted about how it actually prepares the surface it is growing on so that more rust can grow- is rust "intelligent"? That kind of "intelligence" seems to be the kind that guides evolution. It isn't intelligence as we understand it- it is system intelligence- and I'm not sure "intelligence" is even the right word. Unfortunately when most people read intelligent design they'll imagine the guiding intelligence of something like a giant man. That seems sad and limited. Evolution is intelligent- in the meaning of IDT- evolution IS intelligent design. Do you suppose the IDT people are just closet evolutionists?
