I think many were a victim of the Liberal media. They seem to discover trade deficits and homelessness only during GOP administrations.

The NYTimes famously so. They just ran an article titled "Why Trade Deficits Matter Now". That's after eight years of not mattering as deficits soared under Clinton. A few weeks earlier, the NYTimes found that homelessness was at critical levels and increasing. So predictable. I laugh when they call to sell a subscription. I tell them why should I pay for something that only offers a mess to clean up and store coupons? I don't use them.

I, for one, knew that Bush was toast when he agreed to the Dem's huge tax hike and their big spending increases. His pollster - Teeter - said no one cared or would care. What a maroon. But Bush didn't seem to. His son is a better man.

Teeter - the tone-deaf pollster - ran Bush's disastrous 1992 campaign - Baker refused. All the more reason to respect Baker.
