you are right...the economic consequences of the collapse of the tech bubble are widely underestimated.

stock market participants are so used to the Fed bailing them out when things go wrong, that they simply can't conceive of a long term supercycle bear market.

thus the lack of fear. however, Japan proves beyond a shadow of doubt that supercycle bears are possible in modern times and that collapsing bubbles destroy the underlying economy.
