What purpose can we have on this Earth apart from contributing to the welfare of human society, improving it, and extending its benefits to ever more people? Yep, traditional anthropocentric. And, I believe, that is ultimately a corrosive thing to have in your heart....... It sure doesn't feel corrosive. It feels empowering, exhilarating, wondrous. To quote Rambi quoting/paraphrasing Emily: "To live is so startling, it leaves little room for other occupations" Well, as I said the other day, I was arguing the minimum, the maximum involves more specialized considerations.
