I think Japan is toast. The public debt that has been accumulated is staggering. I expect a major bankrupty in the insurance or bank sector very soon. This could cause a run at the Yen and then its all over.
Its amazing how well the Yen holds up with .25% interest rates and all this bad debt; obviously the Japanese have not lost their confidence in said institutions yet.If that happens, the run at the Yen will force the central bank to raise interest rates and this will raise the bad debt skeletons all at once.
