Cymer warns and falls after hours. This is ridiculous. Is there any way that any tech investors don't already expect an earnings short-fall in coming quarters? Isn't this all priced in? The market acts as if this is some kind of surprise. Or maybe it's just an excuse used by shorts to attack a stock. I thought these warnings were priced in long ago. And is there any tech company which has yet to warn? Even solid powerhouse SBC has warned. Nevertheless, today's rebound in some stocks (most of mine) was somewhat encouraging. SBC for instance bounced back most of the way after it's initial sell-off. With the low PE's most of these stocks have now it's hard to believe they won't recover soon despite the inevitable warnings.

Hoping for a little better news next week. Greenspan was cagey today admitting he likes to keep the market in the dark about his timing and surprise us when he does move. That could be code language for "don't worry, someday soon, but I'm not going to forecast it". Also March 20 is less than three weeks away now. Gasp, gasp.
