I am long SUNW and have been for about 10 years. But despite that history I still can't tell you the timing of the recovery. For that you need a psychologist, because the crisis we're in is one of confidence -- there's little confidence in the future among stock buyers right now. I think you are right, though, in connecting Sun's recovery to that of the economy, because the economic crisis is also rooted in a lack of confidence -- who will buy a new car if they aren't confident they will keep their job?

Some people here hate it when I blame that lack of confidence on the change of administration, but if America were brimming with confidence in the new guys, I doubt we'd be where we are.

In the long run I am confident we will do just fine. I even bought some stock today (although not SUNW -- I've already got tons of that). Maybe others like me will begin to generate some optimism, buy some stock, and we can escape this funk.

At some point I might even use some of my margin "buying power," but not yet; Schwab is paying ME interest for a change.

All JMHO, of course.
