Driving in to work this morning. Listening to WLW "hate" AM radio. The new thing for these Limbo wannabes stuck on the 8 a.m. Saturday shift is to try to sound like Hannity or O'Reilly and express feigned outrage over every issue. First the talk-radio shock jock threw out the Bush tax plan: "It's our money. It's our money!!" (trying to sound like O'Reilly). No calls. So he moves on to Napster: "It's stealing. That's all it is!! It's stealing!!" (trying to sound like O'Reilly). Two phone calls. That's it. So he moves on to the 10th anniversary of the Rodney King mugging: "You know, I feel sorry for what happened to Rodney King, but Daryl Gates was right on a lot of issues. Daryl Gates was right!!" (really trying to sound like O'Reilly now). "When the police tell you to stop, you better stop or you may become a dead man ... I don't care what color your skin is!!" Time for classical music.
