expect the unexpected... or not. I've surprised myself by finding that there is auction life on Yahoo. I had to nose around a bit more after they claimed that in fact a large fraction of auctions were closing successfully. In fact, it appears that many of the same items which sell on eBay also do sell on Yahoo. How many registered bidders does eBay have? I wouldn't count Yahoo out of the auction biz just yet, at least not completely. Does anybody have about $10K to give me to buy shares of inexpensive (ok, this part's debatable for some of the ones I'm interested in) and profitable Internet and Internet-software-infrastructure companies?
