very well put. one has to keep in mind that the only factor that counts in hi tech is the ability to produce profits, and profit growth. there are no assets of significance that can be stripped. that's why the mundane 'old economy' stocks are so much more resilient to the downturn thus far...while they are overvalued too,they at least own hard assets.

That is actually the technical definition of the " bottom " othe market:

All brain waves are gone, especially the " V - waves ".
You may have some " slow " " u - waves " also called " undifferentiated rhythm " because the thing
is dead and amorphous.
You need to allow several days in this condition at least, to make sure death is not a fake.Weeks are even
better,
