MythMan, I make no reference to thread exchanges as being the cause for the eventual demise of SI but do propose that losing valuable individuals from the scene will only serve to speed up that eventuality (assuming the the current state of affairs remains in place).

I agree that the declining popularity of the markets is not helping ... but Investment threads will survive in some form ... and I personally feel SI has let later boards pass them in relevance due to managements apparent indifference.

users at Silicon Investor was down 25% to 75 minutes a month
