It seems like a good practice to consider motives. The problem with both Brinker and Cramer is that they (like brokers on commission) can do well whether or not what they say has any merit. As long as they get readers (new or otherwise) then they've done their job and they get paid. Will Bob's horrific Q call make any difference in his subscriber or listener base? Who knows with examples like this below. From another post, isn't this the poster who has been calling people names AND didn't see the bulletin which has been the very basis of this discussion? Take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to pass it off on Bob. Does Bob take responsibility for HIS actions? Bob does well = Bob is brilliant Bob does badly = Bob is brilliant Astonishing but true.
