So, it goes like this: "If we did own her mind and body, her life would have no meaning, but neither would ours--because we would not own our own minds...either"

It seemed to me (and it still does) that you where arguing that we would not own our minds and bodies if she did not and that she would not own her mind and body if she did not have the right to commit suicide.

My response was that if someone (in this case the pregnant woman) does not have the right to kill someone else, and she is prevented from killing herself because it will kill someone else that doesn't mean that her life would have no meaning or that she would not own herself.

P.S. Related to the idea of someone owning themselves, is that right transferable? Do you think someone would have the right to sell themselves into slavery or indentured servitude? Personally I would rather be in a world without slavery, but I'm not asking if you think it would be a good policy to have slavery but rather if you think someone has the right to sell themselves in to it as part of their ownership rights over there own body.
