<If I understand the logic of your post and am correctly applying it to the accurate numbers, the market is now looking for Siebel to meet estimates whereas it was previously expecting Siebel to beat them. Do I understand your logic and apply it correctly? >

No, The Market clearly expects them to miss and guide lower. It is really a question how much are they going to miss by and in many cases as already seen with some warnings, the stock price goes up due to the fact that wall street was expecting worst news. I Guarantee should sebl be able to meet estimates this coming quarter and confirm that they are on target for this year, it will be back in the 70s quite quickly. The problem we currently have is companies missing estimates by huge margins and hence the severe decline in prices and readjustment of valuations.

All,

I'm in no hurry, but wanted to post that I'm seriously considering adding to my SEBL position and to software portion of my portfolio overall.

Again, not in a hurry because I'd be surprised to see a quick reversal of the current trend - although the 98 tech bear hit bottom and bounced back up very quickly. We're not shooting fish in a barrel like in '98 (yet), but we're coming back to the "below average" range in PS ratios for many of these type companies.
